Fractional SEO leadership across technical, on-page, local, content, and AI search, built for businesses that need senior strategy without a full-time hire or a big agency retainer. Here’s what that looks like in practice.
Local SEO marketing services, delivered as fractional strategy.
Every service below is delivered the same way I approach fractional SEO leadership: senior strategy first, with the roadmap, prioritization, and hands-on guidance a business needs to actually move rankings, not a stack of deliverables that sit in a folder. With 20+ years in SEO and digital marketing and an MBA in marketing, I work as an extension of your team or agency, directing the work rather than just reporting on it.
You can bring me in for one service or several, on a project basis or an ongoing retainer. If you need full-service, hands-on execution rather than fractional strategy, my agency, Lift SEO Services, handles that end to end.
Technical SEO and website migrations that protect what already ranks.
Technical SEO is the foundation everything else depends on: can search engines crawl your site, index the right pages, and understand your content quickly and correctly. That includes site architecture, Core Web Vitals and page speed, crawl budget and indexation issues, mobile usability, and structured data at the site level.
Website and domain migrations get the same rigor. A redesign, replatform, or domain change is one of the highest-risk moments in SEO. I build the redirect maps, pre- and post-launch QA, and monitoring plan needed to protect existing rankings through the transition, the same process behind the rebrand and domain migration case study on this site.
On-page SEO and schema markup built around search intent.
On-page SEO means making sure every page is built to answer the query it’s targeting: title tags and meta descriptions, header structure, internal linking, and content that matches what the searcher actually wants, not just what includes the keyword. I audit and rebuild on-page elements against real search intent and competitive gaps, not a generic checklist.
Schema markup (structured data) tells search engines and AI tools what your content means, not just what it says. I implement and QA schema for services, FAQs, reviews, and local business data, both to earn rich results in traditional search and to make content easier for AI Overviews and other LLM-based tools to cite accurately.
Off-page SEO and link building that builds real authority.
Off-page SEO is everything that signals authority and trust from outside your own website, most importantly the links pointing to it. I run competitive backlink gap analysis to see exactly where competitors are earning links you’re not, then build a link acquisition strategy suited to your industry and budget, from digital PR and resource link building to directory and citation cleanup.
This work is coordinated with on-page and content strategy rather than run in isolation, so link building supports pages that are actually ready to convert the traffic it sends.
Local SEO and Google Business Profile optimization for the map pack.
For any business serving a local area, the Google Local Pack, the three-listing map result shown above organic listings, is often the highest-intent real estate on the entire results page. I manage and optimize Google Business Profiles (categories, services, posts, Q&A, review strategy), build out location and service-area pages, and clean up NAP (name, address, phone) consistency across directories and citations.
This is one of the areas I have the strongest track record in: see the Google Business Profile and Local Pack ranking case studies for what this work has looked like for home services clients.
Content strategy and content marketing mapped to keyword intent.
Content is where most of the actual keyword targeting happens, and where I see the most wasted effort: content calendars built around topics instead of the specific queries and intent behind them. I build content strategy from keyword and entity research first, then direct writers, in-house teams, or agencies to execute against a prioritized plan rather than a generic blog calendar.
The goal is topical authority: enough well-targeted, well-linked content in a subject area that search engines, and increasingly AI tools, recognize your site as a credible source to cite.
SEO audits and keyword research that turn into a real roadmap.
An SEO audit is only useful if it ends in a prioritized plan, not a 40-page report nobody acts on. My audits cover technical health, on-page and content gaps, backlink profile, and entity and AI visibility, and end with a roadmap ranked by effort and impact so your team knows what to do first.
Keyword research underpins that roadmap: what your market is actually searching for, where the competitive openings are, and how to sequence targets from attainable to aspirational as your site’s authority grows, the same avalanche approach behind the case studies on this site.
AI search optimization: answer engine and generative engine optimization.
Search is no longer just a list of blue links. AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, and other LLM-based tools are answering queries directly, and being the source they cite, not just the site someone eventually clicks, is its own discipline: answer engine optimization (AEO) and generative engine optimization (GEO). I build the entity clarity, structured data, and content structure these tools need to understand and trust your content enough to cite it.
This work draws on hands-on GEO/AEO strategy experience and on the automation I build using n8n and AI workflows, keeping SEO and content operations running efficiently as this space moves fast.
